Day 20- The best day....

Today was the best day so far for Makenzie. She was actually getting a little sleep and was comfortable. The pain guys finally got something to work for her! She is glad there isn't more surgery scheduled and looks forward to getting on with recovery. She also has an excellent attitude....what a trooper she is! She is supposed to move out of the IMU to a regular room sometime today as well. Pam and Makenzie both were looking forward to this as it is next to impossible to get any sleep in the IMU. You pretty much have to be unconcious......

One of the things Makenzie did today was look at this blog! She read a couple of days worth of entries and read the additional comments posted. Then she got really sleepy. At any rate, she is reading the postings. I look forward to writing on this blog herself very soon! She is extremely grateful for your prayers.....as am I.

Looking forward to tomorrow! Looking forward to Makenzie getting stronger! Looking forward to the day she can check out of there and go home! Glad we're looking forward to these things. Never take anything for granted.....
Good night my brothers and sisters,
Mary

  1. Hallelujah and praise God from whom all blessings flow! Thank You, Father, for answered prayer. May Kenzie continue to get the care she needs, the rest she and her family need, and the freedom from pain we've prayed for. All glory and honor are due to Your mercy and love. Mary, thanks for keeping us informed and updated. Blessings,

  2. Praise the Lord!! There's not much more you can say but that!!! Of course we will continue to pray for her recovery. Glad to hear that she is doing so much better. Now they can move forward. Let Makenzie, Pam and Chuck know that they have many friends behind them all the way. And thank you, Mary, for your diligence in keeping us updated on her recovery. Checking this blog has become part of my morning routine. God Bless each of you every day...every hour...every minute!

  4. What a blessing! It is so good to know that she is able to rest and that there is a bigger light at the end of the tunnel!!! I check the blog everyday and am so grateful for you, Mary, that you take the time, no matter how exhausted you are to keep the window open to those of us here at home who are praying and waiting for that next little nugget of news.
I cannot imagine how we would have all been able to keep informed 'properly' and with accurate information any other way (though there are those who have tried to keep us informed as they get news and we are grateful for them also :)

It is refreshing to know that Kenzie is able also to see how many people are rallying for her and lifting her and the rest of the family up in prayer.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers many, many times a day and we look forward to reading the news that says "Home Finally"! I know they are all ready to come home and we are ready to know that they are coming home!!! God bless you all.
